Renew or replace your TIE with no surprises.
We help with your card when your authorization is renewed, or when you need a replacement after loss, theft or damage. If the authorization itself must be renewed, we prepare the file and you submit it yourself.
Is it for you?
This is for you if…
This is not for you if…
- Your renewal has complications (criminal record, gaps in contributions, prior refusal): you need a lawyer.
- You want to move to long-term residence or modify your authorisation: that is a different procedure.
Official document checklist
Checklist from official sources. Before your appointment we check it against the official requirements for your province.
- Card renewal: EX-17, passport, one photo, fee, and a census certificate under 3 months old if your address changed.[5]
- Replacement: police report of theft or loss, or the damaged card; passport, photo, fee.[5]
- Authorization renewal (if needed): form and documents for your authorization type, fee 790-052 (for employees, the employer also pays fee 790-062).[6]
Where and how to apply
The card requires an in-person Police appointment for fingerprints.[5] The authorization renewal is filed at the Immigration Office on paper by appointment or online: in 2026 the Supreme Court annulled the rule (art. 197.2 of the Regulation) that made online filing mandatory.[3][7] A person you choose can also file it, with a notarial or apud acta power of attorney (art. 197.4.a RD 1155/2024).[1]
Appointments are personal and free. We never sell appointments. We explain how to book the appointment yourself, free of charge, on the official appointment portal. We do not book or hold it for you.

Timelines: TIE renewal or replacement
Renewal is requested in the two months before expiry or in the three months after (in that case, with a possible fine).[1] In most of these cases, filing on time extends your authorisation until a decision is made. For renewals of non-lucrative residence, family reunification, and employed or self-employed work, the authority has 3 months to decide; no answer means approval (arts. 64.8, 71.5, 80.9 and 87.2 RD 1155/2024).[1] Other types work differently: for example, an extension of a study stay is deemed refused if there is no answer within one month (art. 55.4). A replacement is requested as soon as you lose the card[5], and the new one is valid for the time the old one had left.[5]
